The First Christian Church began, January 12, 1947
in the American Legion Building, and moved into the Vine
and 7th Street building in 1948.
The ministers were: Harvey Hardin, Bill Irwin, Gerald Main,
Harold Mosley, and Richard Billings; Billings began his
ministry July 26, 1964 and continues to this day.
The First Christian Church is an independent,
non-denominational congregation. Elders are Robert Hunt
and Richard Billings. Deacons are Dwight Allison, Denver
Bible, and Danny Bradshaw.
